Helsinki Guide Service
Paulo's Tours provides only PRIVATE guided tours using a Car with capacity for 1-4 passengers. In case you are travelling with children there is capacity for extra two passengers. For your private sightseeing tour I will be the driver and tour guide. I will show you all the sights in a friendly manner. If you prefer that I do not drive and just be your guide I can organize a chauffeur. Unfortunately at the moment we cannot provide joint tours, but if you can form a small group we will be happy to help you. Please visit the tours section and tell us the tour you are interested in and we can provide more details. We can tailor the tour according to your interests. If you have a place that you would like to visit or something special that you would like to do, please let us know. For groups of 6 persons and over I can arrange a bigger van or a coach for up to 50 passengers. All tours are available in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Helsinki Sightseeing by car & boat Private tour.
On this tour you will have a unique opportunity to see Helsinki by car and boat. We will start your tour by car and visit the most important tourist attractions; Sibelius park and monument, Olympic stadium and tower, Rock church, Uspenski Cathedral (Russian church), Senate square and the Lutheran Cathedral. This will be followed by a boat cruise thru the beautiful canals for 1h30 minutes. You will see the Suomenlinna sea fortress, archipelago summer cottages and saunas, the fantastic Degerö Canal and Korkeasaari Zoo. You will also have time to explore the markets downtown and taste traditional food. This tours are only from May to end of Setember

Helsinki Porvoo PrivateTour
The tour will take 6 to 7 hours. During the tour you have unique opportunity to visit lots of sights in Helsinki. We will visit the Sibelius monument, Oodi Library, Unique Rock Church and Senate Square. After touring Helsinki we start a drive of 50 km (around 35 minutes) to reach the idyllic city of Porvoo, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will walk by the riverside, you have an opportunity to see the beautiful wooden houses by the river and take pictures. Free time to visit the cozy little shops in the old town and stop for lunch or coffee there. After a short drive back to Helsinki you will still have time to explore the markets before heading back to the cruise ship.

Helsinki Tour & Traditional Sauna
If you are looking for a unique and exciting experience this tour will take about 6 hours. We will start to tour the city of Helsinki with stops; Sibelius monument, the Rock Church, Russian Church and have a panoramic view of the city by the sea. We will be booking the sauna for you in Helsinki. Löyly was opened in 2016 and it has been the trendiest place to go for a Sauna. You will also have the unique opportunity to go swimming on the baltic sea. In Löyly clients are provided with shampoo and a fresh towel as well. You will still have time to go shopping or just visit the market in town.
Private Helsinki Walking Tour
During your walking tour you will have the opportunity to see everything in the centre of the city. We will plan the tour according to the starting point. We will visit the Senate Square, Helsinki Cathedral, and National Library. Walking through Esplanadi Park, which is the most famous park in Finland and the green heart of Helsinki. We will visit the railway station and walk to the new library of Helsinki Oodi. During the walk we have the opportunity to learn about the city, Finnish culture, day by day life and you will receive lots of tips where to eat, visit markets and also same hidden places along the city. Tour is 3 hours in total. We recommend comfortable walking shoes.
Helsinki & Suomenlinna Tour
We start visiting the most important places in Helsinki. We will visit the Rock Church, the Sibelius monument, Oodi Library, Senate Square and Helsinki Cathedral. We will take the local ferry to Suomenlinna. It takes around 15 minutes to reach the island where we will start a walking tour of the Island. After the tour we will make our way back to mainland and we will have time to visit the market. Tour takes approximately 6 to 7 hours all year around.

On this tour you will visit all the main tourist attractions in Helsinki followed by a visit to the open-air folk museum Seurasaari. The Seurasaari open-air museum was founded in 1909. This beautiful green island is a tranquil oasis in the midst of the city and at the museum the traditional Finnish way of life is displayed in the cottages, farmsteads and manors of the past four centuries that have been relocated to the island from all around Finland. All the different provinces of Finland are represented in the well preserved old buildings and they give an overall view of the Finnish countryside life from the 18th to the 20th century.

Who I am
My name is Paulo De Freitas and I just turned 50 years old. I was born in Portugal on the beautiful Island of Madeira. Before moving to Finland I was living in England for 13 years. While I lived there I worked in hotels & restaurants and as a chauffeur for business clients. In 2003 I moved to live in Finland. I have two sons and a daughter. They are now 13, 16 and 21 years old.
For the past 17 years I have been working as professional tour guide in Helsinki. I have been running Paulo´s Tours for 15 years already. Opening my company was the best thing that I have done. I love to meet new people and make new friends from other countries. I am so happy when May arrives and the cruise ships start to arrive in Helsinki. I know Helsinki and all the tourist attractions in the region very well. I am also a good and safe driver. Let me show you around and introduce to you to this beautiful city where I have live. There are beautiful parks and surroundings by the sea. Let me share you my experience of living here for the past 20 years.
